Spalletti urged Juventus to continue implementing their tactical philosophy.

The fourth round of the 2026/27 UEFA Europa League season will take place tomorrow, with Juventus traveling to face AZ Alkmaar. Manager Spalletti stated in a press conference that this opponent possesses a distinctive playing style, therefore urging the "Old Lady" to consistently implement their tactical approach on the pitch.

In the last round of the Europa League, Juventus managed a 2-2 draw against Rennes after goals from Celiac and Walter Madd. Currently, Juventus sits in 7th place with 7 points, putting them in a favorable position to advance.

Juventus coach Spalletti said, "We expect this to be a tough match. Our opponents have a very distinctive style. Their coach knows the club's history very well, and many of their players come from their own youth academy. They are a team that always insists on ground passing and possession and plays a modern style of football, and they have a very good center forward and two wingers who are good at dribbling."

“AZ Alkmaar will involve three players when organizing an attack, while in defense they may use a four- or five-defender formation, and Per Kupmenas is often responsible for leading these formation changes.”

In an earlier Serie A match, Juventus defeated Napoli 2-0 after goals from Arajbegovic and Jeremy Boga.

Spalletti pointed out, "We must have a clear mind and, like against Napoli, consistently and firmly implement our tactical philosophy throughout the game. In that match, we showed our strengths on the field, and we must do the same tomorrow. There will be some adjustments to the lineup. Sarr and Cambiasso will both start, while Douglas Luiz needs some rest, and either Bremer or Lukumi will be temporarily sidelined."

“We will field three forwards in the attacking line, each with different characteristics. Arajbegovic is only 19 years old. Juventus signed him with a view to the present, but also with a view to his future. He has already proven that he is capable of taking on important responsibilities, and he will play an important role in the game tomorrow, whether he starts or comes on as a substitute.”

In addition, Spalletti said, "Muani is a very good person, I have always supported him, and he may start in tomorrow's game. Kupmenas proved that he is a top player against Napoli, and he is fully capable of competing with even the best players."

"As for our goals, we shouldn't be forced to choose between Serie A and the Europa League. It's inappropriate to decide which competition is more important at this stage. We must take it one game at a time and believe that we have the ability to compete with any opponent."
